New research conducted by Liam Byrne reveals the “staggering” scale of Islamophobia. The research pulls together extensive surveys of his Hodge Hill constituents’ experience of Islamophobia over the last year.

Former West Midlands Police officer convicted of child sex offences
A former West Midlands Police officer has been convicted of dozens of sex offences against children over a 38 year period, the majority of which were committed while he was a serving PC.
Following the conviction of Allan Richards, MP Liam Byrne said:
"Justice has been finally done for the victims of Allan Richards - but it should never have taken this long. I salute the incredible bravery of all those who came forward to make sure this man is now where he belongs - behind bars, I hope, for the rest of his life.
The challenge for the West is this: we know how to globalise. But we don't know how to make globalisation work for the majority of voters.
Submissions to this survey – along with those of children’s charities and medical experts – will form the basis of the first ever Manifesto for Children of Alcoholics.
