Please use the link below to find a full copy of the letter to the Department of Education asking the Department to extend free school meal provision to more children from low-income households ahead of what will be a difficult winter for many families.

In the letter MPs say:

"Free school meals save a family around £400 a year per child. This cost can represent a substantial proportion of a struggling family's income (even if they are in work). By extending Free School Meals to more children from low-income households it would not only enable more children to enjoy a healthy meal each day but also financially support these families through this pandemic and into the future."
