Byrne demands release of Ofsted reports


Liam Byrne has this morning written to Sir Michael Wilshaw and Michael Gove to demand the release of Ofsted reports into Birmingham schools.


In his letter, Mr Byrne described the continued delay of the reports as 'completely unacceptable', especially because details continue to be leaked to the media.

Byrne urges Birmingham to go it alone as Gove fails to act


Liam Byrne today urged Birmingham City Council to set up its own comprehensive enquiry into local schools, led by an independent advisor, after a cross-party letter from the city's MPs to Michael Gove demanding action was greeted by a deafening silence.
